Rollover Graphics

Rollover Graphics to let them know something will happen.

Rollover graphics are a nice way to let people know where your links may be on your site.  When visitors pass a mouse pointer over a rollover, it changes to another state to let them know something will happen if they click the graphic.

The standard navigation elements in WEBPLUS are actually rollover graphics, but you can also create your own using images or text. Here is an example of how to create a rollover graphic.

Original Image

Resized and saved as NORMAL State Image

(do this within WEBPLUS using the “Save as Picture” Function)

Image adjusted and saved as OVER State Image

(do this within WEBPLUS using the “image adjustment” Function and then save as picture)

Final Button

Roll mouse pointer over image to see it work

The final button is created in WEBPLUS by using the  Insert/Web Object/Rollover function. This will allow you to use two images to create a rollover button. In this example, we specified the Normal State image as the Normal state of the button, and the Over State image as the Over state of the button. Once the button is created, we position it anywhere on our WEBPLUS page.

The example above doesn’t actually do anything when clicked, but in a real site, the button would also have a hyperlink to either a page on your site, an external web site, or a file for download.
